NFT1000: A Visual Text Dataset For Non-Fungible Token Retrieval (read more here)
In this paper, we will introduce a dataset named 'NFT Top1000 Visual Text Dataset'(henceforth, NFT1000), containing 7.56 million image-text pairs, and being collected from 1000 most famous PFP NFT collections by sales volume on the Ethereum blockchain. Based on the dataset, we test the CLIP (Contrastive Language-Image Pretraining) models as a baseline. Additionally, we also propose a concept of Comprehensive Variance Index (CVI in short), which is a robust metric designed to assess the similarity and retrieval difficulty of visual-text pairs data.

In my view, the strength of my research lies in being the most comprehensive and up-to-date guide on vFHE (Therefore, I titled it 'The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the vFHE’). Surprisingly, vFHE is a very nascent technology than I expected. In my search for materials to study vFHE, I found only one paper that was beginner-friendly and covered the significance and concepts of vFHE.
Sharding SMR with Optimal-size Shards for Highly Scalable Blockchains (read more here)
Sharding can enhance blockchain scalability by dividing nodes into multiple shards to handle transactions in parallel. This paper presents Arete, an optimally scalable blockchain sharding architecture designed to resolve the dilemma based on a key observation: higher (Byzantine) fault-resilient shards allow the creation of more secure shards. The main idea of Arete, therefore, is to improve the security resilience/threshold of shards by sharding the blockchain's State Machine Replication (SMR) process itself.
On Orchestrating Parallel Broadcasts for Distributed Ledgers (read more here)
This paper introduces and develops the concept of ``ticketing'', through which atomic broadcasts are orchestrated by nodes in a distributed system. The paper studies different ticketing regimes that allow parallelism, yet prevent slow nodes from hampering overall progress. It introduces a hybrid scheme which combines managed and unmanaged ticketing regimes, striking a balance between adaptivity and resilience.

A study by Pantera Research Lab found that crypto users exhibit a high present bias and low discount factor, indicating a strong preference for immediate gratification.
